Uttarkashi tunnel successful rescue operation

 Rescue operation in Uttarakhand's Silkyara tunnel, reached the final stage on Tuesday, with 41 trapped workers being carry out from Silkyara tunnel in the Uttarkashi district of India Uttarakhand state on November 28, 2023. Efforts involved drilling through a 60-metre collapsed tunnel,this process encountered much difficulty so team pause this process and start with new plan vertical drilling from top and at same time other team starts manual drilling using rat-hole mining techniqueto clear the last 10 metres The workers in the tunnel waiting for rescue from 16 days.

In final each worker will be placed on stretcher and carefully pulled outside byteams using ropes.This process is estimated to take around two to three hours,medical facility has been set in the tunnel to conduct health assessments for the rescued workers.Team of doctors and specialists is on standby in case of any complications.Ambulances are positioned at the tunnel's entrance for transport the workers to a nearby community health center 41 oxygen-supported beds had been arranged from 30 kilometres away specifically catering for workers.Medical officers on standby to provide assistance and also have been arrangements of airlift for workers to provide advance medicalcare if necessary.
